1. medial:
toward the midline of the body
2. lateral:
to the side, away from the midline of the body
3. bilateral:
on both sides
4. mid-axillary line:
a line drawn vertically from the middle of the armpit to the ankle
5. anterior:
the front of the body or body
6. posterior:
the back of the body or body part
7. ventral:
referring to the front of the body. a synonym for anterior
